Winners of Photomarathon Sheffield will be chosen based on how creatively and uniquely they interpret the photo topics.
Prizes for 2019
- Best overall set of photos: Sony A5100 Compact System Camera

The workshop with Alwin Greyson will cover the following topics:
– Studio portraiture techniques and posing
– Composition – what makes a great portrait
– Equipment – lens choice and camera settings
– Lighting – with natural and artificial light
– Control shadow and highlights using reflectors
– Practical demonstration on the day
– Feedback on your best shot
– An online gallery of the group's best shots
Judges
As well as the teams at Our Favourite Places and Harrison Cameras, judges for 2019 are members of Sheffield's creative community:

- Sharna Jackson – Artistic Director at Site Gallery
- Alex and Julie Maxwell – owners of independent bookshop La Biblioteka
- Anna Potter – florist at Swallows and Damsons and author of The Flower Fix
- Florence Blanchard – painter, muralist and curator
- David Bailey – Creative Director in User Experience and Design for the BBC
